Quiltwinkel Margreet Otto has accomplished so much in its 50 year history. In 2025, customers came together to celebrate this incredible store by voting for them in the Local Quilt Shop Contest, helping Quiltwinkel Margeet Otto become the Regional Winner for the Netherlands.
Margreet first opened the shop in 1971, in a location where it stood for 50 years.
Nowadays, her daughter Susanne runs the shop, but Margreet still stops in everyday to help.
In 2020, the shop moved east to Lochem. The shop, which measures 85 square meters, has a collection of colorful and modern fabrics from well-known designers like Kaffe Fassett, Anna Maria Parry, Tula Pink, and more.
It is located at Albert Hahnweg 28 in Lochem, a historic small town in the east part of The Netherlands, called ‘Achterhoek’.
The region is full of castles, estates, and endless cycling and walking paths.
The wide-open peaceful space is know for its coulisse landscape with meandering streams.
Quilts of Many Colors
Quiltwinkel pride itself on its unique range of colorful and modern fabrics, and their expert staff who are known for their fabric-picking skills.
Besides their beautiful fabrics and excellent customer service, this shops offers a wide assortment of classes and workshops, including many ByAnnie classes.
